Clearer gift records for finance teams
Church giving software helps teams review gifts, track funds, and prepare receipts. Church Grid keeps offline and online giving records accurate and permissioned, so treasurers spend less time reconciling across spreadsheets.
What this helps with.
Review giving records before monthly reconciliation.
Track fund context for designated gifts.
Prepare receipt workflows with clear review context.
Keep finance access separate from general volunteer access.
Records finance teams can trust
Gift status, fund context, and notes stay close to each donation. Reviewing gifts is clearer when the details you need are already on the record.
Finance access stays limited
Not every church user should see giving. Role-based access keeps gift records visible only to the right staff, treasurers, and leaders.
Honest about fees and what’s next
One-time and recurring online giving are available in private alpha through Stripe Connect and Checkout, alongside offline records, funds, receipt status, and reconciliation exports. Provider QA (including a full recurring subscription lifecycle in Stripe test mode) still needs hardening before broader paid rollout. Fee language will stay plain and clear.
Questions teams ask
Will giving or payment processing fees be separate?
Donors cannot cover processing fees in the product yet. Marketing must not claim a cover-the-fee option until that charge path ships. Stripe/provider costs and any Church Grid pricing should be shown clearly before a paid agreement. Recurring giving exists in code and portal pause/cancel flows; Stripe test-mode lifecycle QA remains before broader claims.
Can finance access be restricted?
Yes. Finance workflows use role-based permissions so giving records stay visible only to appropriate users.
Will receipt workflows be supported?
Receipt status, resend, void/reissue, and member portal receipt and current-year statement downloads exist in the MVP. Numbered receipts exist in software. They are not a tax-professional or CRA certification. Churches remain responsible for confirming tax requirements with their advisors.
Can historical giving data be migrated?
Migration needs can be discussed during early access. Supported formats and scope depend on the source system and data quality.
