Email the right people without another blast list
Church communication works best when messages reach the right people. The MVP supports email drafts and send-now follow-up for selected people and group members. SMS send exists when a church configures a provider; it is not marketed as a public-MVP channel. Advanced targeting is still planned.
What this helps with.
Send an email follow-up to selected members.
Reach parents connected to a children’s ministry group.
Follow up with newcomers after a first visit.
Review recipient delivery state after sending.
Know the audience before you send
Generic blast tools make it easy to message too many people. Church Grid starts with selected-person and group-member email so leaders can follow up without exporting ad hoc lists.
Connected to people and groups
Messages link to member records, groups, and households. That means less duplicate list work and a clearer picture of who received what.
SMS is provider-gated
SMS send exists when Brevo (or the configured provider) is set up. It has provider costs and regional compliance needs, and it is not a public-MVP marketing claim.
Questions teams ask
Will SMS cost extra?
SMS send is provider-gated. Separate provider costs, if any, will be published before SMS is marketed as a public-MVP channel. The base plan price does not change because of those fees.
Can messages be targeted by groups?
The MVP supports selected people and group-member audiences. Advanced targeting by volunteer team, attendance, and custom criteria is planned.
Will message history be visible on member profiles?
Message detail shows recipients and delivery state. Broader profile-level communication history remains planned.
Can volunteers send messages?
That depends on role permissions. Church Grid uses scoped access rather than all-or-nothing admin rights.
